Postgraduate studies

Hello everybody, today I will talk about a postgraduate course that I would consider taking in the future. In my last blog I mentioned that I would like to work as the director of the public hospital in Rancagua and for achieving this is necessary a master or a similar postgraduate course.

I have been looking for some information about masters in Chile, and I found some ones that could serve to apply for the job as director of public hospital. The name of the first master is “Magíster en Gobierno y Gerencia Pública”, provided by Universidad de Chile, this is not a master specifically for the job that I would like to have but it would be useful for my future employment prospects. This master is cheaper than others masters and is a master with an evening, executive and continuity modality.

The other master that could be useful for my future job and it is interesting for me is “Magíster en Salud Pública”, this postgraduate course is ideal for being the director of the public hospital in Rancagua because it is a master that links public management with public health. The course combines in-class and online teaching, the in-person activities are developed on Thursdays, Fridays (full time) and Saturdays (half time). This master is provided by Universidad de Chile too but is more expensive that the previous master mentioned.
